IV EP TOUR: Blog #1

Well hi there. Isn't this nice. The first official blog post for Hurst. Gotta say, for my first genuine tour, this has been a great one so far. We are three shows in to our east coast tour, and today we announced that we've just added another show on November 6 at The Bull And Bush Hotel in Seven Hills

All this road tripping has been fun. I cannot complain about the company. I was scared that we would get sick of each other, but nope. The morale and sarcasm levels are on high. We are currently having a little break here on the Gold Coast in QLD. Next week we'll make our way down to Melbourne, which I am so excited for. I love that city, and I will take any excuse to revisit that place.

We are so thankful for all our friends and new fans that supported us at the EP Launch at Frankie's Pizza. That was such a great night. The highlight for me will definitely be all that damn near pizza I got to eat. I don't think anyone understands how much I appreciate pizza. Oh boy….

The next gig on our tour was at the Lass O' Gowrie in Newcastle. When we pulled up, I didn't know what to expect from the humble pub situated in an industrial suburb that's a train crossing across from the Newcastle CBD. Turns out that the Lass. Goes. Off. I'm grateful for the folks that watched our set. I was also so happy to hear from people, who were holidaying from SA, go out of their way to see us play because they had heard us on the radio back home. It's amazing what community radio has done for us so far. I am so happy for the reach we have received.

Two nights later we played Ric's Bar in Fortitude Valley, Brisbane. Shout out to Switchblade Suzie who supported us that night. It was great to play alongside another female fronted rock band! There honestly aren't enough of our kind in the Australian scene. Or am I just blind? Nonetheless, it was refreshing to not be the only girl wailing away on stage.

Last night, Nick, Ben and I went over to Pheonix Radio Station in Springfield, QLD and hung out with the cool kids who host a radio show called The Midnight Briefcase. I thought we were only going to be on the show for a quick two minute interview as we've done so beforehand, but they had us for the entirety of the show and we all had so much fun. I especially appreciated the bag of Doritos they brought, it's like they know me...

Next up we've got a Halloween Show at The Standard which we are so looking forward to! We will be dressing up. We will be rocking out. It's going to be so good. Cannot wait. And then we're off to Melbourne!

Until then, I'll see you later homies.
